Industry Specific Compliance The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoH&UA) on July 03, 2026, issued the Lakshadweep Real Estate (Regulation and Development) (General) Amendment Rules, 2026, further to amend the Lakshadweep Real Estate (Regulation and Development) (General) Rules, 2016.

The amendment aims to remove the penalty provision prescribing a fine of 10% of the estimated cost of the plot, apartment, or building for offences punishable with imprisonment under Section 68.
